[Warframe] Most Efficient Ways for Platinum Farming

[Warframe] Most Efficient Ways for Platinum Farming
This guide describes one of the most efficient ways of obtaining platinum via trading in Warframe.
When you ask someone on Warframe, how to get platinum in game, you would often hear that you should just trade with other players. But that doesn't solve the problem for you, because you have no idea what to sell to make platinum efficiently. In this guide I will provide some useful information on how to get and sell specific mods.

What mods to farm and sell?

So let's go straight to the mods, for farming platinum you will need Event Status mods, which provide 60% damage / 60% status chance increase.

Their real price range from 10 to 50 platinum (without taking speculation into account). Why would we bother with mods that can cost 10 p?

There are several factors, that make these mods very efficient in getting platinum:
The status damage is the end-game type of damage, so the demand on these mods will always be above the average.
It's also easy to acquire them, as they primarily drop on Spy missions, which do not take a lot of time and do not require any specific gear.
People are more eager to spend 10-50 p, contrarily to the cases when you try to offer them Primed mods, which can cost up to 200 p.
They're fancy!

Below you will see the images of all these mods you will need in order to get rich.

Drop rates and locations

Now, when you know what to look for, let's take a look at their primary drop locations, with the drop chances.
Element Weapon Heat Cold Toxin Electricity
Rifle Oceanum (Pluto) - 6,45% Pavlov (Lua) - 7,37%
Amalthea (Jupiter) - 5,64%
Marduk or
Mot (Void) - 25%
Naeglar (Eris) - 4,51%

Shotgun Pavlov (Lua) - 7,37%
Amalthea (Jupiter) - 5,64%
Oceanum (Pluto) - 6,45% Marduk or
Mot (Void) - 25%
Naeglar (Eris) - 4,51%

Secondary Oceanum (Pluto) - 6,45% Oceanum (Pluto) - 7,52% Marduk or
Mot (Void) - 25%
Baro Ki'Teer
Melee Unda (Venus) - 9,09% Unda (Venus) - 9,09% Marduk or
Mot (Void) - 25%
Baro Ki'Teer
As you can see most of them drop on Spy missions, 2 of them drop as a reward on Hive mission, 2 of them are only obtainable from Baro Ki'Teer and all the toxin mods drop from the Corrupted Vor.

Loadout for Spy missions

Although you can complete spy missions with any loadout, it's still better to make things easier.
What do I mean by "easier"? Using stealth Warframe and weapons, which will give you more freedom and confidence.

So, here's my Spy farming loadout:
Warframe Loki
Primary Zhuge
Secondary Despair
Melee Lesion
Any other silent weapons can be brought to these missions.

Farming Corpus Spy missions

Let's take a look on Spy missions first. I chose Corpus-only missions, as I find their tilesets less confusing. In the video below you will see how to pass all the 6 rooms that may appear during the missions. This is true for Unda (Venus), Amalthea (Jupiter) and Oceanum (Pluto) and other corpus spy missions.

Farming Lua Spy mission

Lua Spy tileset is a bit more confusing to learn, but once you do it, you'll have no problems farming it.
Take a look at the video below, where I show most of the shortcuts you can take during these missions. There are only 3 rooms on Lua Spy, so you'll be always running the same locations.

Farming Hive mission

Now, switching to Hive mission.

Currently there's only one mission available, it's Naeglar on Eris.
Hive missions are easy, but you will need to find all 3 caches in order to get a chance to get a mod.

Is it really worth farming High Voltage and Shell Shock? Yes, they can be sold for 50 p. There are not many advices that can be given for Hive mission, just check thoroughly all the rooms and you will find them.

Here's the screenshot of a such cache you need to find:
Farming Hive mission cache you need to find

Farming Corrupted Vor

Not much can be said about farming Corrupted Vor either. The best options to catch him is either Marduk or Mot missions in Void.

Marduk is a Sabotage mission. If you complete the objective too fast, you may find yourself in a situation where you are about to leave the mission and Vor doesn't appear. Just be patient, he will surely come to kill you. According to Warframe Wiki, you might need up to 8 minutes for him to spawn on this mission.

Mot is a survival mission, the minimum time required to complete it is 5 minutes. Vor can spawn during these 5 minutes, but can also take some time to appear. It's up to you, what to choose.

Speculation and Baro Ki'Teer

Speculation and Baro Ki'Teer in warframe

Jolt and Voltaic Strike are only obtainable from Baro Ki'Teer.

You will have to wait until he appears in order to buy these 2 mods.
Once you buy them, do not hurry to sell them, as they will be available to others and their prices will drop.
It would be wiser to stock them in your inventory for a while, say, 2-3-4 weeks and then sell at a higher price. Bear in mind, I'm not encouraging you to scam people, speculation is a good thing, but with moderation.

Selling your stuff

Now, you've acquired the needed mods and you're about to sell them. What are the common prices?
You can refer to any source you wish, I'm not pretending to tell the truth, but I will provide the prices I usually sell my 60/60 Status mods for:
Element
Weapon
Heat Cold Toxin Electricity
Rifle Thermite Rounds - 10 p Rime Rounds - 10 p Malignant Force - 8 p High Voltage - 40 p
Shotgun Scattering Inferno - 10 p Frigid Blast - 10 p Toxic Barrage - 8 p Shell Shock - 50 p
Secondary Scorch - 10 p Frostbite - 10 p Pistol Persilence - 8 p Jolt - 50-80 p
Melee Volcanic Edge - 10 p Vicious Frost - 10 p Virulent Scourge - 8 p Voltaic Strike - 50-80 p

These prices do not take into account some discounts, never hesitate to drop 1-3 p from the initial price, it won't hurt you, provided how easy these mods can be acquired.

Conclusion

That's pretty much all you need to know to start making platinum from Status mods.

I hope this guide will help you to get more platinum for the desired goods.
