Stoneshard Beginners Basics Guide

Stoneshard Beginners Basics Guide
So you've just cleared the prologue dungeon and you're ready for adventure uh? Here's a bunch of things you should know:
  1. You can only save the game in Inns and camps with an interactable bed, so plan your exploration trips accordingly
  2. Sometimes there are multiple ways to interact with objects, don't forget to right click to see the options!
  3. Replenish food and water whenever you can, to refill your water supply right click on on any source of water and you'll get both a drink and a refill option.
  4. Remember that you can heal by resting, right click on yourself and select rest!
  5. Keep a look at your HP bar, if you can't heal all your HP back because the bar looks capped before the max level you have one or more body parts that need to be treated with balms, leeches or other healing items
  6. LOOK AT YOUR MAP! You should have a map in the inventory, I missed it my first time around and spent more time I'm comfortable admitting roaming around getting ganked by bears and wolves. The map doesn't tell you where you are, use roads and other unique places to figure out where you are if you get lost.If for any reason you drop or sell the map you can buy another one from the elder. You can now access the map by pressing M.
  7. Always travel diagonally in the overworld when you can. The map is divided in squares, so by traveling diagonally you travel x1.7 times faster than going in a straight line (it's math!) by going at the corner of a screen you can easily travel to the next diagonal screen by going left/right one screen then immediately up/down the other screen. Traveling following the screen borders is also safer.
  8. Where's the damn elder? He's on the first floor of the barrack, the biggest building in the village, the ones with guards on the ground floor. Talk with him and take both jobs, you can switch the active quest in the quest menu.
  9. Stay away from bears at the beginning (level 1-2), they're OP.
  10. Don't forget to visit the herbalist in the village and buy splints, bandages and balms, you'll need them!

Celeste - Farewell DLC Chapter 9 secret

The Farewell DLC for Celeste added a new brutally difficult chapter, as well as a secret within. Those who viewed the achievement list might've seen an additional hidden achievement added:

Wow - Find the moon berry

This secret is very much not for the faint of heart. You can find it in assist mode, but the fun is in the challenge!

Other than it being safe to assume it's located in Chapter 9, there isn't much in the way of clues. This guide details how to find the berry, but before revealing it all, here are a few hints in increasingly revealing order:
  • It isn't the golden strawberry (yes, there is one for this chapter, good luck).
  • The path to it is easily mistaken for decoration.
  • It's in probably your most dreaded location.
  • Backtracking is necessary, but not in the obvious way.
  • You're expected to die at least once.

Walkthrough

Here's a more comprehensive version. For starters, you're expected to know about:
  • Everything taught to you in the entire game including this chapter.
  • How to gain height diagonally using the jellyfish glider. When holding onto the glider, release it, dash diagonally upwards, then grab it again.
  • How to gain additional vertical height using the jellyfish glider. Throw the glider against the wall or a spring, such that it bounces back for you to dash upwards and grab it again. This gives you an additional vertical boost. You can also gain a boost by holding down, letting go, then dashing immediately upwards and grabbing again.
Now, the start of the secret is located at the end of the very last room i.e. the longest room in the game. This means you'll have to do the entire room if you want a shot at the secret, though fortunately you can reach it directly from the checkpoint select.

Monster Sanctuary - Tips and QOL Info

Monster Sanctuary - Tips and QOL Info
You can "donate" extra eggs and monsters at the Keepers Stronghold by talking to the blue person in the screenshot. This process gives smaller rewards upon donation, and larger rewards on getting a certain threshold of army strength donated. Donation is also great to keep your monster inventory clean if you don't need extra copies of common monsters.

Stores will sell better items the higher your Keeper's rank is.

The Infinite Arena (also found in the Keeper's Stronghold in the fuchsia-colored) gives reward boxes, which contain items, potions and eggs! This is a great place to "farm" experience and some harder-to-find items.

Monster Sanctuary - Core Combat Mechanics

While the game's tutorials do a good job of explaining how things work, having an out-of-game reference guide can be handy in case you want to review.

Combo Meter

Combo Meter Monster Sanctuary - Core Combat Mechanics
The combo meter increases with every action taken. This means that every move will increase the damage of each subsequent move during a round.

Example: if you have an attack that does 4x 80% damage then the combo meter will get 4 "stacks". Each stack is worth 5% extra damage. Therefore, that would be 20% increased damage for your next monster.

[Brawlhalla] Beginners Short Guide

This is a guide aimed towards the newer players in the game to tell them what things they should focus on to improve faster at the game.

Training

The first thing you need to know is that the training room is your friend, and somewhere a good player will spend a lot of time learning in. This is where you will practice your movement and learn combos. For movement I recommend getting used to moving around off stage, going under the stage from one side to the other, recovering from far away, on stage practicing your fast falling, and dodging in different directions so you are less predictable in your games. As far as learning combos and strings goes, for the lower ranks, I suggest simply learning the basic 2-3 hit combos and strings for your weapons. As you get higher in the ranks you will of course be able to learn more difficult combos and strings.
