Dead by Daylight - Quick info about the game elements

This guide offers roughly 30 second introductions into the basics of Dead by Daylight, along with infographs for each free Killer.

1st part: 10 seconds
2nd part: 15 seconds
3rd part: 35 seconds

For the players who just want to hurry up and play the game.

Match Summary

The Matches themselves

Each match/trial will feature 4 survivors and 1 killer. 5 generators need to be finished to power the exit gates so that survivors can escape the trial, and killers need to prevent anyone escaping.

Hooks

Hooks are the method of how the killers will kill the survivors. Each survivor has 3 hook stages. On the 3rd hook stage, the survivors will die. Every 60 seconds the survivor is on the hook, they will progress to the next hook stage until dead.

Endgame

When all 5 gens are finished, 2 exit gates will activate. Once the survivors open at least 1 exit gate, a timer will start that when ended, all remaining survivors left will instantly die.

Dead by Daylight - Easy way to Counter Genrushing SWF

  1. Pick nurse to ignore most of the mechanics in the game.
  2. Equip Franklin's Demise, rest of the perks doesn't matter.
  3. Pick moderately strong addons to increase your chances of success. You are playing vs SWF after all.
  4. Find a survivor and down them, if no gens are done just hook them and find the next one.
  5. If some gens get done start slugging. SWF usually leave gens to pick up their teammates. From here on out it's just downhill.
  6. If you followed the steps you should have rekt the SWF by now. I mean you play the most broken killer in the game to achieve this.

Dead by Daylight: How to become a killer main

The Killers of DbD are an unstoppable power role who can only be evaded by using stealth, or by dropping the few pallets on the map to attempt to slow them down. Killer is a lot of fun to play, definitely more so than playing survivor by yourself, but if you want to become your sterotypical killer main, then here's a few tips to get you started.

Dead by Daylight Best Claudette Outfits

These guide will show the best outfit combinations for Claudette. You can't loop killers if u ain't looking cute while doing it.

Bug Catcher

The pink graphic t-shirt from a different apocalypse and the dollar tree flower clip all make for a fun youthful combination. While the Jamie Lee haircut and the dirty combat boots sophisticate the look by a little, though not much. A very cute outdoors outfit. Small insects will be attracted to it's bright color and the fake botany in her hair.

Easy ways to kill Lickers in Resident Evil 2

Lickers in Resident Evil
Lickers are tough opponents in Resident Evil 2 and may players have problems to deal with them. Below you will find some easy ways to kill Lickers with little effort.

The Mighty Knife

Don't underestimate the knife, my friend.

That which shatters against mere zombie flesh is in fact the #1 Anti-Licker weapon in your arsenal.

Equip your knife.

Be Brave, Stay Wild

You're in Licker territory. Draw its attention with a brief jog and watch it come screaming towards you, unaware that the Licker is about to become... the Licked.

Ready your knife. Carve the tip across your chest and allow the crimson river to flow. Emit your warcry.

Licker 2: Lobotomise Me

With the Licker at your feet, preferrably baited around a corner or some obstacle as to not allow it to close the gap with a leaping attack (which will hurt and potentially put you in a bad situation), aim as far down as possible and slash the thing repeatedly in the face.

Every time your knife connects with exposed brain matter, the Licker will flinch and move slightly. Your task now is to control your assault and keep it stunned during the lobotomisation process.

(If you manage to find yourself behind the Licker, good! Every knife attack from behind - no matter where it connects - will cause it to flinch.)

A good 6-12 slashes, dependent on difficulty, should do the trick. Don't be put off even if the Licker rears up in an attack animation, you can still score "brainshots" as if the hitbox hadn't moved.
(This is likely unintended; the developers probably didn't think we'd have the balls to engage in knife fights with Lickers. They were wrong. I laugh at them.)

Lap of Victory

As the Licker lurches to one side and enters the death animation, take the time to whisper sweet nothings into where you think your knife's ear should be. Sheath it with the absolute care and respect it deserves.

Rejoice at your unspent ammunition!

(Victory lap not required or actually recommended.)

The next time you think about halving a knife's durability stabbing a zombie in the chest without killing it, remember; that could've been a dead Licker.

Miscellaneous Bonus Tips: Saving Ammunition Early Game & (Probably) Beyond

Shooting a zombies' leg off is always more efficient than trying to kill it, just be aware it can still crawl and bite you if you're planning to return to the area. Check your map; if a room is red, there are items still to be found. If you know you'll be returning later, a sea of crawling zombies will slow you down.

Floored zombies can be knived to death, preferrably from behind, if you have the blades to spare.

You can shoot a zombie in the face or leg and run past while it's flinching.

Birkin's human head takes as much damage as the large, exposed eye.

There's no need to waste all of your ammunition, like me, during the first encounter. Playing on Hardcore I ended up using two grenades, two first aid sprays and all of my pistol and shotgun ammunition to take him out; a rematch focused on headshots with the pistol left me with 8 shotgun shells, 42 pistol rounds, 1 grenade and zero healing items used.

Ignore the eye and go for the head. Kite him around the area and take advantage of his downtime after the large, overhead swing. Headshots will also cause him to flinch; be careful not to waste shots on his hand if he holds his face with it.

[Dead by Daylight] Type of players you can encounter

I am going to talk with you today about the types of players you see in DBD. But let me mention couple things here before i start.
I have over 800 hours in DBD so far, and always in Rank 1. so i played it enough to be able to see all kinds of people characters in the game and play styles. Also i want to mention that the Rank in this game is something important. Just like how you were a baby in real life (which is rank 20 in the game). and you are growing up everyday. The more you grow up, the more your personality grows up too and get more shaped to who you really are. Rank in this game is the same exactly. When you get to rank 1 (and the more you play as well). You will get to who you really are in this game, and your actual play style will be more shaped and obvious. So the characters and personalities ill be talking about today are from high ranks.
Last thing to mention is that English is not my native language. So i'm sorry if its a little weak. But i am pretty sure you will be able to understand everything in here.

[Welcome to the Game II] Quick Guide

This guide will help you get started with Welcome to the Game II, by explaining to you the basic concepts and strategies of the game.

Introduction

Now before we start, let's all come to agree that this game is far more harder than its predecessor, and the fact that no one is making any real progress really stumps everyone what what we're supposed to do. This guide will serve to help you, based off of everything I've come to learn during my own gameplay experience, as well as watching other streamers play the game.
Also, if you have any other troubles that my guide doesn't end up fixing for you, feel free to add me and we can try to solve whatever issues you may be having to the best of our abilities. (I plan on adding screenshots in the near future in order to make it easier to understand what it is that I'm talking about)

P.S.: One of the first things you want to do when loading up a new save is obtaining the flashlight (in the situation that the power goes out on your floor). The flashlight can be located on the nightstand next to the bed. Once you pick up the flashlight, in order to turn it on all you need to do is push F and you should be set for whenever the power goes out.
